Welcome to my little corner of God’s ever changing world. We are looking ahead to the celebration of Christ’s birth and another wonderful New Year is rapidly approaching. Many things have changed this year in our lives and we can embrace what God has done and grow or we will find ourselves left behind. Many times we try to live our memories or live in our past, rather than living our lives for Him.

I recall a story about a funeral of a man who had worked on developing the Boeing 747. It brought together many people who knew him. After the funeral a comment was made concerning how remarkable it was to have been so intimately involved on that project that was at that time, making history in the aeronautical industry and around the world. His wife responded so sweetly that “the truth was he worked on one little switchbox smaller than a loaf of bread. That is all he worked on for some 15 years during that developmental time of the 747”. She added “that when it lifted off the ground for the 1st time it was the happiest day of his life.”He worked on one small switchbox for more than a decade, yet the plane could never have lifted off without this man’s untiring contribution.

We sometimes see our small contributions and efforts and feel we are not very important in the scheme of things. Maybe we suffer a set back or two along the way and feel even more out of step or insignificant. I can promise you on the 747 project there were numerous setbacks and problems, but they pushed forward working as a team to complete their mission.

Ephesians 4:16 reminds us that “he makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so the whole body is healthy and growing full of love.” (NLT)

We are responsible to be involved in God’s work—His word says we fit PERFECTLY when we work in the body!! God needs your hand in His work and you need to be working not on the sidelines or giving up. You are not insignificant you are a warrior for God and your contribution is critical to getting this Kingdom ready to be sent off the ground. I’m here to tell you today that when God’s Kingdom lifts off and we receive our reward—eternal reward. It will be revealed what our contribution meant to our Lord. He placed us here to be servants in His Kingdom—who are you serving today. Are you sitting on the bleachers feeling He can’t use you –oh my friend YOU fit perfectly in the body and He is waiting for you to embrace Him and enjoy the journey. I hope we can work together in the future, perfectly as he bids us to.

As the holidays close in and another year passes by—I am holding onto God’s perfect plan in my little corner of God’s wonderful world.
